Infertility Research

Millions of couples struggle with infertility, and it can be both emotionally and physically challenging. Roughly, one in ten couples experience infertility and many take part in a variety of treatments. If infertility is related to the woman, the range of causes can include fibroids, hormonal imbalance, diet, damage to the ovaries, and stress. Additionally, heavy menstrual cycles can play a significant role in not being able to conceive. Men’s primary causes are hormonal imbalance, blockage or low sperm count, and more. The root of all of these causes is typically some form of vertebral subluxation in the spine.

Medical experts define infertility as beginning when the couple has been having unprotected intercourse for one year without conception. If you are medically infertile, you’ll be presented with multiple options from artificial insemination to hormone treatments, and while chiropractic care isn’t often the first option that comes to mind, there are significant findings that chiropractors can help treat the whole body so that fertility is increased.

Treatment for Infertility

In one case study, Dr. Elizabeth Anderson-Peacock conducted two case reports of medically infertile women that were considering artificial insemination. She gave them complete chiropractic evaluations and found subluxations in both women. Dr. Anderson-Peacock improved the spinal integrity by using the Torque Release Technique Protocols, and both women became pregnant during the course of their treatments.

In another case study, three infertile women with vertebral subluxations were treated with chiropractic care to help improve their fertility. One woman had been trying to conceive for 4 years and had failed in-vitro fertilization twice, another woman had been trying for 2 years, and the third women for 7 months. They were each treated based on their particular needs after the chiropractic evaluations were completed. All were given spinal adjustments as well as guidance for nutritional supplements and diet. All three women were able to conceive after the treatment.

These are just a few of the successful cases that women have experienced when they have vertebrae subluxations and infertility. Age can also play a role in infertility, but all of the women in the case studies above were over thirty. Chiropractic care can help people of all ages from children to the elderly, regardless of what ailment their suffering from or what level of wellness they’re trying to achieve.

Chiropractic Care for Infertility

Chiropractic care is dedicated to treating the whole body and improving overall wellness, as well as treating specific spinal pains and issues. Visiting a chiropractor for relief is often an individual’s primary reason, or it may have to do with their attempt to avoid complicated surgeries or heavy medications that may only cover up the problem rather than getting to the root of it. Correcting the body’s alignment, reducing stress, and making exercise and nutritional changes makes a significant impact on fertility for both men and women. Whether you have been medically diagnosed with infertility or you want to ensure you are at your optimal health when trying to conceive a child, make an appointment with a chiropractor.
